Today I successfully compeleted my 1st Mod to my 05 4Runner (Project:Seven2). I replaced the Factory radio with a SCION (Pioneer) T1809 with iPod Connectivity. Since I hardly ever listen to the actual radio stations, and I have around 9000 songs on my iPod this made logically sense to me, especially since I got a deal on the radio (Thanks VenomHP).
Here is the original Unit still in the truck

I followed the directions from http://www.castulucci.com/projects/carpc/oemnaviaccess/ to remove the dash pieces so that I could get to the actual head unit.
After I got the dash pieces removed and the old head unit out. I then hooked up the new unit. I decided to use a METRA Ltd 40-UV43 Motorola Antenna Y-adapter and a Gm Micro/Delco Antenna Adapter to connect the dual antennas that Runner is equipped with into the back of the SCION radio, since it only has one.

I then set the head unit in place and bolted in place.

I then turned on the key and powered it on to make sure it worked and everything was hooked up. Wooohooo we have music and from the iPod even..

I then put the dash and everything back together. I was almost done, but I had to modfiy the tray that is underneathe AC Controls, as that is where I wanted the iPod to be. I had seen some people modify the AC Control panel, but I do not have that much faith in my dremal skills. I made the choice to cut an access place in the tray door. I figured if I messed it up, that would not be that much to replace.

I very impressed with my dremel work, even though it was a Harbor Freight Special.
Here is the door in place with the cable.

iPod in its new home waiting to be used.

Everything buttoned back up and rocking!!
